Kahani on Antigua Street, at the top of Leith Walk, is an Indian street food restaurant whose name means 'story'. Its menu ranges across street snacks, biryani and dishes from the tandoor, served in a casual setting. Kahani has quickly become one of Edinburgh's most recognised Indian kitchens. It won Best of Scotland at the Scottish Curry Awards 2025, was recognised for excellence as Team of the Year in 2026, and received an Outstanding Achievement award as Best of Scotland at the British Curry Championship 2026. Guests can eat in or take away, and Kahani also caters for events. It is a good stop between the city centre and Leith.
